So, Thursdays Mason and I usually head over to my friend Amy's house. We go out to lunch, then back to her place to lay on her floor, eat her snacks, and use her amazing camera. A couple of weeks ago she captured these beauties...
P.S. Go visit her Etsy store! She has BEAUTIFUL cameo jewelry.

// SUNDAY ADVENTURES (ON A SATURDAY) // GRIFFITH PARK HIKE
This week we did our "Sunday adventure" on Saturday because I had plans on Sunday. So, as promised, Matt took us to Griffith Park. It was a really nice day and we went for a nice hike. I, of course, had an extra 16 pounds hanging on me which made it even hotter for me when walking but Matt held him a couple times up the big hills. After our hike, we went to a nice restaurant in Los Angeles called Mendocino Farms. Its super cute and super healthy and it was delicious. An absolute MUST for anyone visiting the area.

// SUNDAY ADVENTURES // NATURE WALK
It's feeling a bit like summer around these parts, though theres SoCal for you. We're now sticking to a tradition of Sunday walks starting with yesterday. I stuck little M in the sling and took him for his first nature walk. It was fun, and nice to be outside on such a beautiful day!
Get ready for a lot of pictures....

AND WE FOUND FEET
Mason has officially fell in love with his feet. He's known they've been there but now he really gets a kick out of sucking those toes and practicing his yoga poses. I think his cloth diapers hold him back from really being able to get ahold of his feet, so whenever I change him the first thing that happens when the diaper comes off, is the feet go directly to his mouth. So as of lately i've been using one disposable diaper a day to just let him get all his flexibility out. (I've got some disposables left over from the baby shower). Other than that, he gets all the stretching he likes during bath time where he gets to lay on the floor. He LOVES it, and immediately starts to whine once his diaper gets put back on. This time I grabbed the camera and captured his love affair with his feet.
I just can't get enough of this cutie!
PS today we are going for his 4 month check up. (Although he's about 4 months and 17 days). And he's getting shots and he doesn't know it. : (

GROWING UP
Mason seems to get bored pretty easily now with my feeble attempts to entertain him. So, I've gotten some of his toys out and have started sitting him up in his Prince Lionheart seat and playing with him pretty much all day. His back is starting to get pretty strong and he can stand sitting down for quite a while before he starts to squirm. His favorite toy at the moment is his toy piano. LOVES playing and hearing his piano. Future pianist and money maker for mama!

PAPER BAG OWL COMPANY WOOL DIAPER COVER REVIEW
We are a cloth diapering family, all the way! We use bumGenius 4.0 cloth diapers on Mason and absolutely love them! He never gets diaper rash and its saved us so much money so far. Therefore when I came across a review on a wool diaper cover that Megan over at The Boho Momma had done, I knew I absolutely had to try them for myself after hearing such great things. I was lucky enough to have stumbled across Lisa's Etsy store "paper bag owl company" which had so many beautiful wool diaper covers (and wool longies!) that she upcycled herself! AND she was generous enough to send me over a cover to review. I was more than excited to get it on my babe!
I opened up the package and saw the cutest Christmas wool diaper cover! I wrapped an indian prefold on the little guy and put the wool cover on. He looked adorable to say the least.

I loved the wool diaper cover so much. Its so simple to use and doesn't have all the snaps that the cloth diapers have. Another perk is that these wool covers hardly need to be washed! If any of the urine gets through to the cover, it just needs to be hung outside to dry. The fabulous thing about wool is the fact it can absorb 1/3 of its weight in moisture, which means it can really soak up even the most heaviest wetters. And even when it is full of moisture, it feels extremely light considering that the moisture immediately begins to evaporate into the air. Another great thing about wool covers is the fact that they can regulate baby's temperature no matter what type of weather it is. If it is hot, the cover keeps baby nice and cool and if its cold the cover keeps baby nice and warm. Wool is absolutely wonderful, especially when it comes to keeping baby butts clean and moist free!
Thank you Lisa for the opportunity to review your beautiful wool diaper covers! Head over to her Etsy store and have a look at her amazing handmade selection of these beauties! http://www.etsy.com/shop/paperbagowlcompany

HOLI-DAZE
With Christmas approaching so fast, there hasn't been much down time for us. Mason and I have probably been to the mall about ten times in the past two weeks. Then a couple more times with papa. Its getting harder and harder to think of good gifts for each person on both sides of the family, so we've had to take it day by day. Surprisingly shopping with Mason has gotten a lot easier. He seems to enjoy being out and about and loves looking around at all the lights and hustle going on. He hardly fusses which makes things very easy for me! Still, I can't say that shopping is my favorite.
Today we did nothing but lounge and I took advantage of some online shopping while M was napping. We're just about done with our shopping! As far as whats new with Mason...He's holding up his head pretty good now a days. I'd say he's 99.9% there! He is also laughing a lot more, and especially loves being held up in the air in his little flying superman stance. He pulls himself up holding onto my hair or my hands and loves to be sitting down. He is also peeing A LOT now, and has been wetting the bed the past couple nights. Since he sleeps throughout the entire night, I don't change his diaper anymore so I've been doubling up on inserts in his diapers so I'm sure that'll be fine. Aside from that, he's just cooing a lot more and is definitely eager to hold himself up! But he'll get there : ) OH! And he found his thumb. So, he's officially a thumbsucker. LOVES his thumb. He'll be four months old on Christmas Eve! Such a big boy. I love him more and more each day.
I'll be putting up our Christmas card this week!
