A DAY AT THE AQUARIUM

Saturday we all went to the Long Beach aquarium, a.k.a Aquarium of the Pacific. Matt's aunt wanted to see the penguins, and we figured it'd be a great time to take Mason so we all went! It was really fun, and apparently a pretty big hot spot on a Saturday afternoon. [note to self: don't ever go on a weekend again]. When we got there Mason had just fallen asleep so I didn't want to wake him. But he was missing so much of the good stuff that I finally just got him up. He was immediately amazed and loved all of it. Though I think he liked the Jelly Fish the best. He wouldn't take his eyes off of them and tried to reach for them. FYI, I brought my DSLR camera with me, and when it was time to take pictures I noticed I didn't have the memory card in. FML. So, I had to document the day via iPhone. Enjoy!

OUR WEEK ACCORDING TO THE IPHONE

Mason is 11 weeks old today and is such a joy! He is growing up so fast, its incredible. He is just about to master holding up his head and we heard his first laugh! He is the love of my life, and I am so lucky to be his mama.

I haven't been able to get on the computer for the past couple weeks, because Mason has been a lot fussier lately and Matt has gone back to work so I'm alone all day with him. So its hard to get a minute to sit down with all there is to do. But now things are calming down, and I am starting to get the hang of this beautiful 8 week old baby. (Yes! He is 8 weeks old today!). We are thinking that he was all fussy because of some of the foods I eat. So, I cut out dairy completely hoping that would help, but he was still fussy. So, I am now...VEGAN! And by that I mean, today was day one. But, I was successful at it and I don't really mind it considering I didn't eat meat anyways, now I'm just eating a lot healthier and its a lot easier than I thought it would be. Though, I think its easy because I'm not just doing it for myself, but for Mason too. I'll update on the vegan process, but for now here are our two weeks summed up in some precious photos of my big guy.

This week hasn't been too eventful. Just trying to beat the heat. Thankfully its starting to cool down. I don't know how many more hot days I can take!
